Overview
This TLILIC0003 – Licence To Operate A Forklift Truck training course is based on the requirements of the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. It is aimed at those required to operate a forklift.
Students will attain the practical application and understanding required to operate a forklift safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements:
Plan Work/Task: Identify task requirements, assess work area and forklift suitability, manage paths, identify hazards, implement traffic management, and establish communication.
Prepare for Work/Task: Confirm workplan clarity, evaluate environmental impact, verify risk controls, safely access and check forklift, and properly set up forklift with required attachments.
Perform Work/Task: Operate forklift safely as per Australian standards, monitor load stability, respond to safety issues, and properly handle loads. Ensure forklift is parked and isolated appropriately.
Pack Up: Complete forklift shutdown in line with Australian safety procedures and secure the forklift to prevent unauthorised use.

To enter the Forklift Licence Perth WA course, you must meet the following requirements:
Must be 18 years old and above
Present photo I.D. on arrival
If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email.
Please note, Saferight reserves the right to cancel your enrolment if this documentation is not provided and you are deemed unfit for training. Additionally, cancellation fees will apply if adequate notice is not given.
Hi-vis shirt or vest must be worn while attending your course – failure to comply may prevent you from participating. Steel cap boots are required, and all jewellery must be removed before the course begins.
Ability to read, write and understand English

If your LLN skills are assessed as needing improvement to meet the course requirements, we may recommend additional support or training to help you succeed. If you have any concerns about your LLN skills, we encourage you to contact us before enrolling.

HIGH RISK WORK LICENCE
Disclaimer: Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant/conduct this skill.
A High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) is a photographic licence, issued to people who have been trained and assessed as competent to work in a class of work defined as high-risk work.
Here’s What You Need to Know:
Licence Applications:
Saferight does not handle HRWL applications for individual bookings and group bookings via credit card payment. During your training, we will only equip you with all the essential information and paperwork needed to apply for your High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) directly with WorkSafe WA.
Passport Photo Service:
Saferight provides a passport photo service for a fee of $20 (not included in the course fee). This service produces a set of 6 passport photos required for your HRWL application, available during your training period.
