Overview
This Conduct Civil Construction Dozer Operations training course is aimed at those currently working or seeking work in operational roles in the mining and construction industries and will be required to operate a dozer.
Students will attain the theoretical knowledge and practical application and understanding required to safely and efficiently operate a dozer and will be able to:
Plan Dozer Operations: Interpret documentation, clarify instructions, identify hazards, select PPE, arrange traffic signage, choose dozer equipment, prepare for emergencies, and coordinate on-site.
Operate Dozer: Conduct pre-start checks, rectify/report faults, drive and operate according to site conditions, monitor hazards, ensure safety, and manage equipment performance.
Use Dozer Attachments: Select, fit, test, and use attachments, following workplace procedures for use and storage.
Relocate Dozer: Prepare for relocation, safely move between sites, assist in loading/unloading.
Conduct Housekeeping: Clean work area, manage hazards, and complete necessary documentation.
This course consists of two essential components: Theoretical and Practical.
Outline
You will be enrolled into the following unit of competency:
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years old and above
Ability to read, write and understand English
Present photo I.D. on arrival
Complete a ‘Fitness to Complete Training’ form upon arrival at the training facility. The student is required to declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation
Wear steel cap boots and remove all jewellery prior to commencement
Bring along a hi-vis vest

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a:
Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO323E – Conduct Civil Construction Dozer Operations
