Overview
Saferight is proud to offer the RIIMPO320F – Conduct civil construction excavator operations certification. This excavator training course in Perth is aimed at those currently working or seeking work in operational roles in the mining and construction industries who are required to operate an excavator.
Applicants are required to hold a valid Class C licence as a minimum. If you’ve just arrived in Australia, you can join the course with your international C-Class licence, as it’s valid for up to three months. After that, you’ll need a WA driver’s licence or an International Driver’s Licence Permit (IDP) to participate.
Students will attain the theoretical knowledge and the practical application to operate a civil construction excavator properly and will be able to:
Plan Excavator Operations: Interpret documentation, clarify work requirements, assess risks, select PPE, arrange traffic signage, choose equipment, prepare for emergencies, and coordinate on-site.
Operate Excavator: Conduct pre-start checks, identify and rectify faults, drive and operate according to site conditions, monitor hazards and equipment performance.
Handle Materials: Confirm load weight, use lifting gear safely, position machinery effectively, shift load using communication signals, and perform post-operation inspection.
Use Excavator Attachments: Select, fit, test, and use attachments as per procedures, and store them post-use.
Relocate Excavator: Prepare and move excavator safely, assist in loading/unloading as required.
Conduct Housekeeping: Clean the work area, manage hazards, and complete necessary documentation.
Saferight Earthmoving courses use hands-on training in real-world settings, WITHOUT the use of simulators.

Entry Requirements
To enter the Excavator Ticket Perth WA / Excavator Course, you must meet the following requirements: Must be 18 years old and above

Present photo I.D. on arrival
Applicants are required to hold a valid Class C licence as a minimum. If you’ve just arrived in Australia, you can join the course with your international C-Class licence, as it’s valid for up to three months. If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email.
Please note, Saferight reserves the right to cancel your enrolment if this documentation is not provided and you are deemed unfit for training. Additionally, cancellation fees will apply if adequate notice is not given.

Individuals holding a student visa are not eligible to enrol in, participate in, or attend this course, whether face-to-face or online, as Saferight is not registered with CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students). Student visa holders are encouraged to seek training with a CRICOS-registered institution to meet their requirements.

Please come to 42 Belmont Avenue to collect your Statement of Attainment certificate after you've completed your training. The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance.
