This course can be conducted onsite using our portable fire fighting simulator. 2 x 15 amp power connections are required.

CPPFES2005 The first attack firefighting course teaches individuals how to recognize and respond to emergency situations involving fire. The course will cover the basic principles of fire behavior and how to use fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment. The course will also cover how to evacuate buildings and rescue individuals from fire emergencies.

PUAFER005 Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation is a unit of competency that aims to develop the knowledge and skills required to effectively perform the duties of an emergency control organisation (ECO) member during an emergency in the workplace. The course emphasizes the importance of emergency preparedness and how to respond to an emergency situation in the workplace.

Outline

First Attack Fire Fighting encompasses

The course will involve both theoretical and practical training, with participants learning how to fire extinguishers and other equipment with hands-on exercises.

Participants will also learn about safety practices, including proper protective gear, and how to recognize hazards such as electrical equipment and flammable liquids. The course will also cover how to communicate effectively during emergencies.

After completion of the course, participants should be able to respond quickly and effectively to any emergency involving fire and help to prevent property damage and loss of life.

Fire Warden

The course covers the following topics:

 - The role of an ECO member

- Types of emergencies that may occur in the workplace

- Emergency response procedures and protocols

- Communication strategies during an emergency

- Evacuation procedures and processes

- Site control and access

- Post-incident assessment and debriefing

 Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to confidently operate as part of an ECO and respond appropriately to emergency situations in the workplace.
