Overview

This Chief Fire Warden Training course is designed for those operating in the role of a Chief Fire Warden and are responsible for leading the preparation of workplace emergency procedures; commanding, controlling and coordinating workplace emergency procedures and responses and concluding incidents.

Students will attain the practical application and understanding essential to carry out the responsibilities of a chief fire warden and will be able to:

  1. Prepare for Facility Emergency: Identify potential emergency situations, gather relevant information, and determine emergency actions as per the facility emergency plan.

  2. Pre-Emergency Planning: Attend emergency planning meetings, conduct regular exercises, maintain and update emergency response procedures and control organization details.

  3. Action During Emergency: Identify/initiate emergency signals, operate emergency stations, assess situation, initiate action plan, control area access, give directions, monitor evacuation, communicate with emergency services.

  4. Conclude Emergency: Notify when safe to return, implement re-entry process, report system reinstatement, provide debriefing information, compile reports for committee and management, and file documentation.

To enrol in the Fire Warden Training Perth WA course, participants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must be 18 years old and above

  2. Present photo I.D. on arrival

  3. If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email.

    1. Please note, Saferight reserves the right to cancel your enrolment if this documentation is not provided and you are deemed unfit for training. Additionally, cancellation fees will apply if adequate notice is not given.

  4. Bring along your own PPE: Gloves, high vis vests, you must wear enclosed shoes and remove all jewellery prior to course commencement.

  5. Ability to read, write and understand English
