Overview

The TLILIC0011 – Licence to operate a reach stacker training course, aligned with the National Standard for High-Risk Work Licensing, equips participants with skills to operate a reach stacker with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) exceeding 3 tonnes safely

We highly recommend that participants have a forklift licence (TILIC0003) or relevant experience before enrolling in this reach stacker course. Without this background, achieving the reach stacker licence may be challenging due to the course’s difficulty and high-risk nature.

  1. Plan Work/Task: Confirm task requirements, assess area and equipment, choose paths, apply hazard controls, confirm traffic and communication plans.

  2. Prepare for Work/Task: Consult team, check risk measures, access and check reach stacker, assess conditions, prepare for container operations.

  3. Perform Work/Task: Follow capacity guidelines, secure containers, perform lifts, monitor and communicate effectively, land containers safely.

  4. Pack Up: Secure equipment, apply safety measures, perform checks, secure against unauthorized use.
