The Work Safely at Heights + Confined Space Entry Combo training course in Perth WA is aimed at those who are required to carry out work at heights and in confined spaces. The course covers identifying work requirements and instructions for undertaking the task, accessing, and installing equipment, performing the work at heights and cleaning up the work area, planning and preparing for entry of a confined spaces and working in confined spaces, as well as exiting confined spaces and cleaning up.

You will be enrolled into the following unit of competency:

Students will attain the theoretical knowledge and the practical application to:

Work Safely at Heights

  1. Identify Work Requirements: Obtain and interpret work requirements, assess risks, inspect worksite, select and inspect appropriate equipment and PPE, understand emergency procedures.

  2. Work Procedures: Consult on materials and equipment, set up fall protection, choose safe methods for equipment movement, install signs and barricades.

  3. Access and Install Equipment: Ensure safe fitting of fall protection, install equipment as per procedures, safely access work area, manage tool placement.

  4. Perform Work at Heights: Ensure safe access, maintain fall equipment, handle materials safely, secure materials and equipment, monitor and reassess risk controls.

  5. Clean Up: Dismantle safety systems, clear area, maintain equipment, report faults, manage maintenance records.

Confined Space Entry

  1. Plan and Prepare for Confined Space Work: Interpret work requirements, understand documentation, assess risks, obtain entry permit, select PPE, prepare for emergencies, implement signage, select and check tools, position rescue equipment.

  2. Work in Confined Space: Access space, test atmosphere, apply tagging/lock-out, maintain communication, follow permit requirements, monitor entry time.

  3. Exit Confined Space: Exit as per procedures, recover tools, inspect space, remove tagging/lock-out, complete permit requirements.

  4. Clean Up: Clear area, dispose materials, clean/store barriers and signs, inspect equipment, conduct maintenance, process records.

Entry Requirements

To enter the Work Safely at Heights + Confined Space Training in Perth WA, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must be 18 years old and above

  2. Present photo I.D. on arrival

  3. If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email.

    1. Please note, Saferight reserves the right to cancel your enrolment if this documentation is not provided and you are deemed unfit for training. Additionally, cancellation fees will apply if adequate notice is not given.

  4. Wear normal work clothing, enclosed footwear and remove all jewellery prior to commencement

  5. Ability to read, write and understand English

Your Statement of Attainment does not have an expiry date, however, industry standards recommend retraining every two years.
